What is new on the 2027 Chevy Tahoe?
White Sands joins the 2027 exterior palette. Everything that made the current Tahoe work carries over: the six-trim walk from LS to High Country, the 17.7-inch center touchscreen, the 11-inch Driver Information Center, available Super Cruise hands-free driving and the choice between two V8s and a Duramax diesel.
This is a carryover year with a new color rather than a reinvention, and that is not a criticism. The current Tahoe already does the two things people buy a full-size SUV for, which is carry nine people or tow 8,400 lbs.
The Z71 pictured here is the one that gets asked about most on Bragg Blvd. It adds 20-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, an aluminum skid plate, red recovery hooks, black tubular assist steps and a high approach angle front fascia, plus an Autotrac two-speed transfer case.
If your Tahoe spends its life between the All American Freeway and I-95, the LT or Premier makes more sense than the Z71. Pay for the off-road hardware only if you are going to use it.
Which 2027 Tahoe trim should you buy?
The LS covers the basics with the 5.3L V8 and the big screen. The LT adds leather and available Super Cruise. The RST is the blacked-out one, the Z71 is the off-road one, the Premier is the comfortable one, and the High Country brings the 6.2L V8 and Magnetic Ride Control.

Note the height figures if you park in a garage with a low door or a carport. At up to 76.8 inches the Tahoe clears most residential garage doors, but roof rails and a loaded roof box change that number fast. Measure before you buy a cargo carrier.
