What is the Benefit of Wireless Charging?
Fewer cords! If that doesn’t make you get excited, then we don’t know what will. Eliminate cable clutter for a clean vehicle and leave fumbling with chargers in the past.
How Do I Connect to Wireless Charging in my Tahoe?
Step 1: It might seem like a no-brainer, but before you try to use the wireless charger, make sure that it’s clear of other items. Your vehicle must be turned on and in Accessory Mode.
Step 2: Place your smartphone on the wireless charging pad and look for the charging icon to appear on your phone’s screen. If the icon doesn’t appear, you may need to adjust the position of the phone on the pad.
Step 3: Still not charging? Check your phone’s wireless charging capabilities. Common smartphones that are equipped include the iPhone 8 through X and Samsung Galaxy S6 – S8. If you have a different phone, consult your wireless carrier to learn if your device has wireless charging.
Helpful Hints:
• Some phones will be able to use wireless charging when equipped with special phone cases. For example, iPhone 5 through 7 models will require an Aircharge MFi Charging Case or BEZALEL Latitude Dual-Mode Universal Wireless Charging Receiver Case.
• If you adjust the position of your phone on the charging pad and still don’t see the charging icon appear, remove your phone for at least three seconds before trying again.
Is My Phone Capable of Wireless Charging?
Common phone models that are capable of charging wirelessly include iPhone, Nexus, Droid, Lumia, and Galaxy. Some phone models are not compatible due to their large size, including the iPhone 7 Plus and 8 Plus, Galaxy S7 Edge and S8 Plus, and the Samsung Note.
Can I Charge My Phone and Make a Call at the Same Time?
Yes! Simply pair your phone with your vehicle’s Bluetooth system. Need help? Stop by the showroom or service center at Powers Swain, and a member of our team will be happy to help you.
